Rapeseed oil is derived from the rapeseed plant which produces vibrant golden-yellow flowers. Edible rapeseed is often also referred to as ‘canola oil’. It differs to its ‘regular’ rapeseed counterparts in that it is only allowed to contain a maximum of 2% erucic acid to be deemed safe for human consumption. Crisp ‘n Dry oil is ideal for roasting, basting, browning, or frying. Due to its natural properties, you can heat it to a very high temperature before it starts smoking. This means you can get that delicious crunch on the outside while keeping the inside soft. It’s also great for shallow frying, browning, and basting. It’s not just for roasting. Crisp ‘n Dry oil is also helpful because it keeps the flavour of your key ingredients without making them too strong like some oils can.
Another benefit of Crisp ‘n Dry oil is that it allows your key ingredients to retain their flavour without being overpowering the way some oils can.
